About Us

Located in Palmer Massachusetts, Turley Publications was founded in 1962 when Patrick H. and Thomas A. Turley purchased the Palmer Journal & Monson Register. From these humble beginnings, this locally owned family business has grown from one weekly newspaper into a chain of 15 weekly newspapers ringing the Springfield market and three monthly specialty publications with national circulations. In addition to our growth in the newspaper business, Turley has added substantial design, printing and mailing capabilities. From our state-of-the-art Computer to Plate prepress system to our in-plant United States Postal Service mail verification status, we can see any project through from design to delivery. Today Turley Publications is still locally owned and operated by Patrick Turley and his sons Keith and Doug. They are responsible for nearly 250 employees working at our various locations. Our two main production facilities are located in West Springfield and Palmer, Massachusetts. We also have an advertising agency, Surabian Advertising, located in Worcester, MA, as well as various satellite offices from Keene, New Hampshire to Agawam, Massachusetts.
